새벽부터 오후까지 북적대던 부엌과 친교실도 이제는 조용하고, 아침내내 전을 부치느라 진동했던 고소한 기름냄새도 이제는 여운만 남아있고 ... 오후내내 연습하던 성가대의 찬양소리도 그친 저녁시간, 내일 드려질 성탄주일 예배 마지막 점검을 하며 퇴근하기 전 몇 자 적어 봅니다. 고요함으로 채워진 교회당을 보니 감사의 파도가 밀려옵니다. 내일 드려질 예배와 찬양을 생각하니 감사하고, 내일 함께 나눌 푸짐한 잔치를 생각하니 감사하고 ... 풍성한 성탄주일을 위해서 며칠, 몇 주를 고생한 교우들을 생각하니 그저 감사하고, 성탄절의 주인공이신 예수님을 생각하니 ... 눈물 나도록 감사하고! 우리 삶의 최고의 축복이 되신 예수님의 나심을 축하하고, 기뻐하고, 새롭게 기억하는 날입니다. 감사한 마음으로 함께 모여 기쁘게 예배 드릴 수 있기를 바랍니다. 내일 뵙겠습니다! From early dawn until the afternoon, the bustling kitchen and fellowship hall are now quiet. The savory aroma of oil that lingered in the air as we fried Korean pancakes all morning has faded, leaving only a trace. The choir's voices that filled the afternoon with rehearsal have also grown silent this evening. As I make the final preparations for tomorrow’s Christmas Sunday service and prepare to head home, I write these few words. Looking at the church now filled with stillness, waves of gratitude wash over me. Thinking about tomorrow’s worship and praise fills me with thankfulness. Thinking of the abundant feast we’ll share together fills me with gratitude. Remembering the brothers and sisters who have worked tirelessly for days and weeks to prepare for this joyous Christmas Sunday fills me with even more gratitude. And most of all, thinking of Jesus, the central figure of Christmas—our Savior—moves me to tears of overwhelming thankfulness. It is a day to celebrate, rejoice, and freshly remember the birth of Jesus, who is the greatest blessing in our lives. I look forward to seeing all of us gathering together with thankful hearts and joyfully worship. See you tomorrow!

지난 주 금요일, 중보기도팀과 함께 최연자 권사님댁에 심방을 다녀 왔습니다. Stroke으로부터 많이 회복되셔서 감사함과 함께 아직 완전히 자유롭지 못한 왼쪽팔도 마저 완쾌 되기를 함께 간절히 기도했습니다. 심방을 마치고 좋은 식당에서 함께 아침을 나누는 기쁨의 시간도 가졌습니다. 지난 수요일 서병선 권사님께서 퇴원하셔서 집으로 돌아 오셨습니다. 많이 나아지셨음에 감사드리며, 이제 수술한 오른손을 위한 재활훈련을 곧 시작하신다고 합니다. 몸과 마음이 빨리 쾌차하실 수 있도록 기도를 부탁드립니다. 아프신 분들이 조금씩 나아지심을 보며 감사드리며, 이 땅에 오사 많은 병자를 고치신 예수님의 능력으로 모든 분들이 강건케 되는 이 대강절이 되기를 간절히 기도드립니다.

지난 화요일에는 목회협력위원회 위원들이 지난 한해를 감사하며 함께 식사하는 시간이 있었습니다. 목회자와 여러 스태프들이 맡겨진 사명을 잘 감당하도록 뒤에서 기도하며 돕는 중요한 사역을 지난 일년간 신실하게 감당해 주신 여러분께 깊은 감사를 드리며, 모든 목회위원들이 다 함께 하지는 못했지만 연말에 뜻깊은 자리를 마련해 주신 위원장 박니나 집사님께 또한 감사를 드립니다. 수고 많으셨습니다! Last Tuesday, the members of the Staff Parish Relations Committee gathered for a meal together, reflecting on the past year with gratitude. I deeply thank all of you who have faithfully carried out the important ministry of supporting and praying for our pastors and staff to fulfill their entrusted missions over the past year. Although not all committee members were able to attend, I would also like to express my heartfelt gratitude to Chairperson Nina Park for hosting such a meaningful year-end gathering. Thank you, all, for your hard work!

오늘 루디아 여선교회에서 소방서를 방문해 성탄절 선물을 한아름 나누고 왔습니다. 그리고 에스터, 루디아, 한나 여선교회 회장님들께서 목회실을 방문해 주셔서 내년 계획을 위한 여러가지 좋은 대화를 나눌 수 있었습니다. 지난 일년간 많이 수고해 주시고 이제 2년째 임기를 시작하시는 회장님들께 깊은 감사를 드리며, 새롭게 시작하는 25년 새해에는 더 크고 놀라운 일들이 많을 것 같아 큰 기대를 해 봅니다. 감사합니다! Today, the Lydia Women’s Mission visited the local fire station and shared an abundance of Christmas gifts. Additionally, the presidents of the Esther, Lydia, and Hannah Women’s Missions visited the church office, allowing us to have meaningful discussions about plans for the upcoming year. I deeply appreciate these ladies for their hard work over the past year and as they now begin the second year of their terms. I look forward to the wonderful things that await us in 2025. Thank you!

오늘 임옥순 권사님, 김찬균 집사님, 그리고 김연미 집사님의 인도아래 이마고데이 중고등부/대학부 학생들이 나와서 성탄절 데코레이션을 아름답게 마쳐 주었습니다. 수고한 여러분께 감사드립니다. We are now ready for Advent! Students from our Imago Dei Youth and College group came out today and finished Christmas decoration for the advent, under the driection of Lynn Durham, Chan Kim and Yunmi Kim. Thank you, everyone! Now we are ready of Advent!

오늘 새벽부터 여선교회 여러분들이 모여서 내일 만찬을 위한 준비를 해 주셨고, 점심때는 중고등부 학생들이 나와서 워십댄스를 땀흘리며 연습했고, 늦은 오후 성가대와 글로리 합창단이 모여서 열심히 찬양 연습을 해 주셨습니다. 내일 나눌 감사의 테이블을 미리 셋업 해보면서 내일 예배를 향한 기대의 마음을 잠시 다져 봅니다. 넉넉히 받기에 부족함 없으신 하나님께 부족함 없이 드려질 예배를 기대하며 다시 한번 여러분을 초대합니다. 내일 오전 11시에 KM, EM, YM, CM, 한미의 모든 식구가 모여 예배 드립니다! 감사의 기쁨을 함께 나눌 수 있기를 바랍니다! From early this morning, the members of the Women’s Mission gathered to prepare for tomorrow’s banquet. At lunchtime, the youth group students came out and practiced their worship dance with great energy. Later in the afternoon, the Choir and the Glory Ensemble gathered for their final rehearsal for tomorrow. As I put a final touch on the Thanksgiving Table for tomorrow’s celebration, I paused to pray that tomorrow's service will be worthy of the God's amazing and abundant grace. 오늘 임옥순 권사님과 남정희 권사님, 그리고 James 성도님께서 오셔서 추수감사주일을 위한 제단장식을 해 주고 가셨습니다. 여기에 여러분이 주일 아침에 가지고 오실 과일이 더해지고, 금년도 추수감사주일 예배의 센터피스인 감사 테이블이 셋업되면 예배를 위한 장식부분은 다 마치게 됩니다. 예쁘게 꾸며진 제단을 보니 추수감사절이 왔음이 실감이 나네요. 금년에 교회적으로 감사한 내용을 여러분이 제출해 주셨는데 미처 생각하지 못했던 내용들이 있어서 너무 감사했습니다. 성가대, 주일학교, 중고등부가 예배 특송을 위해서 열심히 연습하고 있고, 이번 토요일은 여선교회와 각 속에서 음식 준비로 분주하시겠죠? 감사가 넘칠 추수감사절을 기대하며 특별한 오는 주일 예배에 여러분을 초대합니다! Today, Lynn and James and Chong came to the church and beautifully arranged the altar decorations for Thanksgiving Sunday. Your contributions of fruit on Sunday morning will be added to this, and once the Thanksgiving Table — this year’s centerpiece for the Thanksgiving Sunday service — is set up, the decorations for the worship service will be complete. Seeing the beautifully adorned altar truly makes it feel like Thanksgiving is here. This year, many of you shared what you are thankful for as a church community, and there were submissions that brought gratitude for things I hadn’t even considered. And I thank you for reminding me that there are indeed a lot to be thankful for! The choir, Sunday School, and youth group have been diligently practicing for their special worship songs, and this Saturday, the Women's Mission Society and various cell groups will likely be busy preparing food. We look forward to a Thanksgiving Sunday service overflowing with gratitude and warmly invite you to join us for this special Sunday service!

지난 화요일 제일 먼곳에서 우리 교회를 나오시는 홍정자 집사님 댁에서 자비속회가 모인다고 하기에 함께 다녀 왔습니다. 예배를 드리면서 한시간 먼길을 오가실 때, 그 길이 늘 은혜의 기름이 마르지 않는 (시 65:11) 은혜의 길이 되기를 마음 모아 기원 드렸습니다. 집사님 댁을 둘러 보는데 지난 40주년을 축하하면서 30년 근속하신 교인들에게 드린 공로패를 보게 되었습니다. 한 교회를 30년 섬긴다는 것이 쉽지 않은 일인데! 우리 교회에는 그런 분들이 여럿 계신 것으로 알고 있습니다. 다시 한번 귀한 섬김에 감사가 깊어진 시간이었습니다. Last Tuesday, I had the opportunity to visit the home of Deaconess Sue Bowers, who travels the farthest to attend our church. As I thought about the long journey she and Doug make each Sunday, I earnestly prayed that their path would always be filled with the oil of grace that never runs dry (Psalm 65:11). While looking around her home, I noticed a plaque of appreciation that was presented to her at our church's 40th anniversary, in recognition of her 30 years of faithful service. Serving one church for 30 years is no small feat! I understand there are many others in our congregation who have similarly devoted themselves for such a long time. It is a great joy and honor to serve God with such wonderful saints! Thank you, many saints at Hanmi, and praise God whose abundant grace made it all possible!

내일 Homeless 선교가 있습니다. 1) 새벽 기도회 끝나고 음식준비를 부엌에서 합니다. 시간 되시는 분들 도와 주세요. 2) 교회에서는 10시 30분에 떠납니다. 교회에 와서 함께 가실 분들은 교회로 10시까지 와 주시면 함께 선교물품을 싣고 10시 30분에 떠나게 됩니다. 3) 사역지로 곧장 오실 분들은 10시 50분까지 Springs Rescue Mission (5 W. Las Vegas St. Colorado Springs, CO 80903) 앞으로 오시면 됩니다. 4) 내일은 사역이 끝나고 교회에서 12시 30분경에 식사를 함께 합니다. 사역 끝나고 교회로 오시면 되겠습니다. 감사합니다! Tomorrow is our Homeless Mission Day. 1) After the early morning prayer service, we will prepare food in the kitchen. If you are available, please come and help. 2) We will depart from the church at 10:30 AM. If you would like to join us at the church, please arrive by 10:00 AM to help load the mission supplies so we can leave promptly at 10:30 AM. 3) If you are planning to go directly to the mission site, please arrive by 10:50 AM at Springs Rescue Mission (5 W. Las Vegas St. Colorado Springs, CO 80903). 4) After the mission work, we will gather for lunch at the church around 12:30 PM. Please feel free to join us there after the mission. Thank you!

지난 주일 저녁 마이클 전도사님과 함께 대학부 Kenneth 군과 함께 식사를 했습니다. 힘차게 미래를 꿈꾸며 열심히 공부하는 모습이 참 감사했습니다. 지난 주일 목회협력 위원회 모임에서 지난 일년간 중고등부뿐 아니라 대학부도 많이 부흥했다는 전도사님의 보고가 있었는데, 계속해서 "아침이슬 같은" 젊은이들을 힘차게 일으켜 세우는 우리 한미 교회가 되도록 여러분의 많은 기도를 부탁드립니다! Last Sunday evening, I had dinner with Pastor Michael and Kenneth from the college group. It was great to hear K's dream for his future and to see how diligently he was working toward that dream. During last Sunday's Pastor-Parish Relations Committee meeting, Pastor Michael reported that not only the youth group but also the college group has grown significantly over the past year. Please continue to pray for our church to be able to raises up new generation of young people!

지난 화요일 첫번째 룻기 성경공부가 있었습니다. 사모님들 모임이 될뻔했는데 집사님께서 함께 해 주셔서 더욱 풍성한 나눔의 시간이 되었습니다. 다음번 모임은 화요일이 아닌 목요일 (14일) 오전 10시 30분에 있겠습니다. 새로 마련된 청년부실 좋은 미팅룸에서 따듯한 커피와 함께 룻의 인생을 통해서 보게 되는 하나님의 아름다운 은혜의 이야기를 맘껏 나눠 볼 수 있기를 바랍니다. 여러분을 초대합니다! 두번째 룻기 성경공부 14일, 목요일, 오전 10시 30분 오는 주일부터 룻기 설교 시리즈가 시작됩니다. 룻기 1:15~18에 나오는 아름다운 고백의 이야기를 함께 나누겠습니다. 주일에 뵙겠습니다! Last Tuesday, we had our first Bible Study on the Book of Ruth. It almost became a gathering of the pastor's wives, but with a deacon joining us, it became an even richer time of sharing. The next meeting will not be on Tuesday but on Thursday, the 14th, at 10:30 a.m. I hope we can fully share in the beautiful story of God’s grace that we see through the story of Ruth's life, over a warm cup of coffee in the newly arranged nice meeting room. We invite you to join us! Second Bible Study on Ruth at 10:30 am, Thursday, November 14th Starting this Sunday, we’ll begin a sermon series on the Book of Ruth. 지난 이틀간 눈이 많이 왔습니다. 그렇게 눈이 많이 왔는데도 새벽기도회와 수요예배에 용감하게(?) 나오신 교우님들이 계십니다. 그분들이 다녀간 눈위의 발자욱을 보면서 믿음과 은혜에 관한 생각으로 마음을 새롭게 채워 봅니다. 오늘 밤에도 눈이 계속해서 온다는 일기예보가 있기에 내일 (금) 하루 새벽기도회를 취소하기로 했습니다. 대신 아래 링크에 온라인 새벽 예배를 위한 찬양과 말씀을 준비해 놓았습니다. 내일 (금) 새벽 5시 15분에 링크가 풀리게 되어 있으니 그후에 아무때나 들어가셔서 예배에 참여해 주시면 되겠습니다. 토요일부터 날씨가 많이 풀린다고 합니다. 토요 새벽기도회는 예전과 같이 아침 6시 30분에 대면으로 드려지겠습니다. 추운 날씨에도 평안하시길 기도합니다. 감사합니다!
