연회에서 만난 반가운 이들 / Two Pastors at Annual Conference
지난 주에 뉴저지에서 있었던 연회에서 저희 교회에서 후원하는 이상범 목사님 (사진왼쪽, 시카고 여섯걸음 교회, 은혜속)과 박영관 목사님 (사진오른쪽, 뉴욕 하나님이 일하시는 교회, 화평속)을 반갑게 만났습니다. 이상범 목사님은 full-time으로 일하시면서 교회를 개척하셨기에 그동안 연회 참석을 못하시다가 이번에 어렵게 휴가를 내서 참석하셨습니다. 두분다 저희교회에 감사의 인사를 전해주셨는데, 열심히 맡겨진 터전에서 교회를 세워가시는 모습이 감사할 뿐이었습니다.
오는 9월 21일부너 24일까지 한미연회 교회 개척 위원회에서 매년 갖는 "개척교회 세미나"가 콜로라도 스프링스에서 있습니다. 연회가 후원하고 있는 8교회 목회자와 교인대표가 참여해서 함께 기도하고 배우며 격려하는 모임인데, 산좋고 공기 좋은 이 곳에서 개척교회 리더들이 성령의 능력을 후하게 누리며 가실 수 있도록 우리 교회가 잘 섬길 수 있었으면 좋겠습니다.
아울러 오는 주일에는 튀르키예에서 선교하시는 탁요셉 선교사님께서 (축복속) 우리 교회를 방문하셔서 말씀을 전해 주십니다. 튀르키예에서 캐나다와 미국으로 망명한 교인들과 그들이 세운 교회들을 방문하시는 길에 우리 교회에도 오셔서 선교보고와 말씀을 전해 주시게 되었습니다. 일년만에 다시 뵙게 되는 선교사님을 반갑게 맞아 주시면 감사하겠습니다.
다시 한번 여러 선교지와 개척교회를 힘을 다해 섬겨 주시는 여러분께 감사를 드립니다. 할렐루야!

At last week's Annual Conference in New Jersey, I had the joy of meeting two pastors whom our church supports: Rev. Sangbeom Lee (Picture Bottom Left) of Six Steps Church in Chicago, and Rev. Youngkwan Park (Picture Bottom Right) of God's Working Church in New York.
Rev. Lee planted his church while continuing to work full-time, which made it difficult for him to attend the Annual Conference in previous years. This year, however, he was finally able to take some vacation time and participate. Both pastors expressed their heartfelt gratitude to our church. More than anything, I was thankful to see them faithfully building up the churches God has entrusted to them in their respective communities.
From September 21–24, the annual Church Planting Seminar sponsored by our annual conference will be held here in Colorado Springs. This gathering brings together pastors and lay representatives from the eight church plants supported by the committee for a time of prayer, learning, and mutual encouragement. It is my hope that our church will be able to serve them well, so that these church-planting leaders may experience a fresh outpouring of the Holy Spirit while enjoying the beauty of the mountains and the refreshing air of Colorado.
In addition, this coming Sunday we will be blessed by a visit from Missionary Joseph Tak, who serves in Türkiye. He will be sharing both a mission report and the message during our worship services. Missionary Tak is currently visiting church members who have emigrated from Türkiye to Canada and the United States, as well as the churches they have established. As part of this journey, he will be stopping by our church to share about the ministry God is doing in Türkiye and to bring us God's Word. We are grateful for the opportunity to see him again after a year, and I encourage you to give him a warm welcome and keep his ministry in your prayers.
