추수감사주일에 성도님들께서 정성으로 준비해 주신 과일과 각종 통조림이 풍성하게 모였습니다. 올 해는 Care and Share Food Bank 에 기부하였습니다. 지역사회 내 도움이 필요한 가정과 개인들에게 전달되어집니다. 이번 나눔을 통해 단순한 물품 전달을 넘어, 하나님의 은혜에 감사하는 공동체의 마음을 함께 나누는 시간이 됨을 또한 감사드립니다. 우리 교회가 계속해서 이러한 감사와 나눔의 사역이 꾸준히 이어져, 더 많은 이웃에게 하나님의 사랑이 흘러가기를 소망합니다. Happy Thanksgiving! ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ On Thanksgiving Sunday, KAMC congregation prepared and gathered fresh fruits and canned foods. This year, we donated these to the Care and Share Food Bank, where they will be distributed to households and individuals in our local community who are in need. We are grateful that this act of sharing became more than simply giving material goods—it became a meaningful moment in which we, as a community, expressed our thankfulness for God’s grace together. We pray that our church will continue to engage in ministries of gratitude and sharing, so that God’s love may flow to even more of our neighbors.

It was such a joy to see again the face of Missionary Jong-ae Hong in Peru, whom we met during the recent vision trip. Missionary Joseph Tark in Türkiye sent his greeting while standing in front of the Afghan flag, dressed in the scarf commonly worn by Afghan men. Missionary Philip Lee shared the wonderful news that the vehicle our church provided was used this time to rescue six North Korean defector women. At Amerasian Christian Academy, where Rev. James Kang serves, the student Mia Lee — who is studying with the scholarship fund we provided — closed her message by saying “Happy Thanksgiving” in Chinese. Seeing their faces and hearing their voices makes us feel even closer to them and encourages us to pray with a warmer heart. 매 주일 드리는 예배를 위해서 수고하는 많은 손길들로 인해서 감사드립니다. 안내위원으로부터 방송실에서 수고하는 방송팀, 말씀을 준비해 주시는 목사님, 그리고 무엇보다도 예배의 꽃이라고 할 수 있는 찬양을 위해서 많은 시간 준비하고 수고해 주는 찬양팀과 성가대로 인하여 감사를 드립니다. 말씀이 예배의 중심이라고 한다면, 찬양은 예배의 꽃이라고 생각합니다. 예배를 아름답게 하는 그 찬양을 위해서 매주 많은 시간을 들여 연습하고 준비하는 성가대원 한사람 한사람! 그 소중한 섬김을 통해 하늘 보좌를 영화롭게 하는 찬양이 한주도 빠지지 않고 올려진다는 것은 참으로 감사하지 않을 수 없습니다. 이 귀한 사역을 위해서 시간과 달란트를 바쳐 수고하는 성가대원 한 분 한 분, 그리고 왕희진 반주자님과 늘 우리를 아름다운 화음으로 이끌어 주는 이선영 지휘자님께 감사드리며, 우리의 영광 받기에 합당하신 하나님께 모든 감사를 올려 드립니다. 할렐루야! +++++++ I give thanks for the many faithful hands that serve each week for our Sunday worship. From the ushers who welcome us, to the media team working diligently in the sound booth, to our pastor who prepares the message, and especially to the praise team and choir who devote countless hours to offer praises to God – I am deeply grateful! If the sermon is the center of worship, then praise is truly its flower. Each week, every choir member invests much time in practice and preparation to make our worship beautiful. Through their service, songs are lifted up to the throne of heaven without fail week after week. For this, I cannot help but give thanks. I would like to acknowledge each choir member who pours out time and talent for this important ministry, as well as accompanist Heejin Wang, and conductor Sonyong Lee, who continually leads us in beautiful harmony. Above all, I give thanks to God, who alone is worthy of all glory. Hallelujah!

이른 3월 따듯하게 내려 쬐는 햇볕을 보며, 긴 병원 생활을 끝내고 집에 돌아와 조용히 성경을 읽고 있던 남편에게 말을 걸었다. “오늘부터 조금씩 밖에서 걸어 볼까요?” 항상 우리 가까이서 말없이 순종해주는 아들과 함께 남편의 양팔을 붙들어 부축하며 공원길을 걷는 연습을 시작했다. 우리 살결을 스쳐가는 이른 3월의 바람이 아직도 매섭게 느껴지던 날, 그렇게 30분을 걷고 돌아왔다. 어느덧 11월 중순이 지나가며, 낼 모레면 눈이 온다는 소식에 옷깃을 여미게 되는 때에, 이제는 혼자서 공원을 걷고 돌아와 뒤뜰에 가득한 낙엽을 쓸고 있는 남편을 바라보며 감사함이 솟는다. ‘당신이 생사를 헤맸던 시간도 이제 벌써 일년여전 일이 되었네요.’ 그 시간을 견디게 하신 주님께 감사드리며, 알게 모르게 기도와 물심양면으로 도와주었던 속원들의 귀한 사랑, 그동안 마음 깊숙이 간직하고 있던 그 사랑을 기억해 본다. 각자의 바쁜 삶 속에서도 우리 가정을 돌보아 주었던 은혜속의 속장, 인도자, 그리고 속원 여러분께 이 지면을 통해 감사를 전한다. 오늘도 성경속에 들어가 있는 남편에게 “이제 목사님 하셔도 되겠어요”라고 하니 “아니야, 읽을 때는 생각나도 읽고 나면 기억 못해” 한다. 기억 못한다는 말에 내가 잊고 있었던 약속이 떠오른다. 남편이 아팠을 때 평생 여보라고 불러 보지 못한 것이 생각나, 남편이 다시 일어서면 “여보”라고 부르겠다고 했던 약속! 그 약속을 기억하며 감사한 마음을 담아 살포시 “여보”라고 불러 본다. “여보, 고마워요!” ++++++++++++++++++++ Seeing the warm early-March sunlight pouring down, I spoke to my husband, who had just returned home after a long hospital stay and was quietly reading the Bible. “Shall we try walking outside a little bit?” With our son, whose quiet presence is always a big help to us, holding one of his arms, and I holding the other, we began practicing walking along the park path. Though the early-March wind brushing against our skin still felt bitterly cold, we walked for thirty minutes and came back home. Now, as we pass the middle of November and hear the news of upcoming snow, I look at my husband, who now walks through the park on his own and returns home to sweep the backyard filled with fallen leaves. My heart fills with gratitude. “The time when you hovered between life and death… that was already more than a year ago.” I give thanks to the Lord who sustained us through that season, and I remember the love of our small-group members. Thank you for all your prayers and support! As I say to my husband, who is again absorbed in reading the Scriptures, “You could be a pastor now,” he replies, “No, I remember things while I’m reading, but once I finish, I forget them all.” His comment about forgetting suddenly reminds me of a promise I myself had forgotten. When he was ill, I regretted that I had never once called him “Honey” in all our married life. So I promised that when he got back on his feet again, I would call him “Honey.” So, here we go … “Honey, Thank you!”

창조주 하나님께 감사드립니다 2025년은 하나님께서 저에게 첫 손녀를 안겨주신 참으로 감사한 해입니다. 모태에서 하나님의 형상으로 저의 손녀를 지으시고 태어나게 해 주신 창조주 하나님께 감사를 드립니다. 저의 첫째 딸이 임신 중 고혈압, 단백뇨, 부종 증세가 나타나는 임신중독증으로 위험하게 되어 아기를 예정일 보다 3주 일찍 출산하게 되어서, 산모의 건강과 아기의 성장등을 염려하였으나 산모도 건강하고, 아기도 8개월이 지난 지금 엄마 젖을 잘 먹고 커서 튼튼하고 행복한 아기로 성장하고 있는 것을 보면서 하나님의 은혜와 능력에 다시 한번 감사를 드리게 됩니다. 또 하나의 감사는 제가 콜로라도 스프링스에 온지 8년 반 만에 단풍이 든 Aspen 나무를 본 것입니다. 밝은 노란색의 Aspen 나무로 뒤덮여 있는 산들을 보고 너무나 아름다운 풍경에 감탄이 절로 나왔습니다. 파란 하늘과 그곳에 걸쳐져 있는 무지개, 바람이 불 때 흔들리는 노란색의 Aspen 나뭇잎들, 나뭇가지 사이로 비치는 찬란한 햇살, 낙엽으로 인해 노랗게 변한 오솔길을 걸으며, 아름다운 자연을 통하여 창조주 하나님의 손길을 느끼게 해주심에 감사드렸습니다. 아름다운 세상을 창조하시고, 그 안에서 귀한 생명의 은혜를 누리게 하신 창조주 하나님께 감사에 감사를 드립니다! ++++++++ I Give Thanks to the Creator God! The year 2025 has been a truly thankful year, as God has blessed me with my first granddaughter. I give thanks to the Creator God, who formed my granddaughter in His image in her mother’s womb and brought her into this world. My eldest daughter developed pregnancy-induced hypertension—showing symptoms of high blood pressure, proteinuria, and swelling—which made her pregnancy dangerous and led to delivering the baby three weeks earlier than the due date. We were concerned for the mother’s health and the baby’s growth, but thanks be to God, the mother is healthy, and now, eight months later, the baby is nursing well, growing strong, and becoming a healthy and happy child. Witnessing this, I am once again deeply grateful for God’s grace and power. Another reason for thanksgiving is that, after eight and a half years of living in Colorado Springs, I finally saw Aspen trees in their autumn colors. Seeing the mountains covered with bright yellow Aspens, I couldn’t help but marvel at the breathtaking scenery. The blue sky with a rainbow stretched across it, the yellow Aspen leaves trembling in the wind, the radiant sunlight shining through the branches, and the yellow-tinted forest path covered with fallen leaves—all of these made me feel the touch of the Creator God through the beauty of nature. I offer overflowing thanks to the Creator God who made such a beautiful world and allows us to enjoy the precious grace of life within it!

이사야 43장 21절을 보면, 하나님의 백성은 그분의 영광을 드러내고 찬송하기 위해 존재한다고 선언하고 있습니다. 하나님을 찬양하는 것은 선택이 아니라, 하나님께 지음 받은 백성의 본분이자 의무입니다. 한미교회로 부임하면서 5년 넘게 멈추었던 찬양 인도를 다시 하게 되었습니다. 찬양의 자리로 다시 불러 주신 하나님께 감사를 드리며, 무엇보다 한미 찬양팀과 함께 동역할 수 있었음에 진심으로 감사드립니다. 찬양으로 섬기는 것은 단순한 ‘봉사’가 아니라 ‘예배자의 자리’임을 다시금 깨닫게 됩니다. 그런 의미에서 한미 찬양팀은 찬양의 진심인 예배자 공동체입니다. 반주의 달인 (마에스트라) 안혜준 집사님, 음악을 가르치는 선생이자 탁월한 연주가임에도 언제나 인도자와 팀원들을 배려하고 세워주시는 겸손한 모습에 늘 감동을 받습니다. 만능 재주꾼 왕희진 성도님, 성가대 반주, 수요예배 반주, 싱어, 학부모, 그리고 학생 지도까지 ... 여러 사역을 감당하면서도 늘 밝고 성실하게 섬기시는 모습이 큰 은혜입니다. 한미 찬양팀 지킴이 이선옥 집사님, 주 6회 일하시면서도 오랫동안 한결같이 찬양팀을 지키시며 언제나 활기차게 파이팅 해 주심이 얼마나 감사한지 모르겠습니다. 한미 찬양팀의 터줏대감 박주환 형제님, 찬양의 은혜를 늘 사모하며, 일상의 바쁨 속에서도 묵묵히 악기(숨은 기타 실력)와 목소리로 예배를 든든히 세우는 모습이 참 귀합니다. 한미 찬양팀의 영원한 센터 이복기 집사님, “찬양 없이는 못사노라” 고백하시며, 아프실 때도 변함없이 성가대와 찬양팀을 오가며 삶으로 찬양하시는 모습에 존경을 표합니다. 빛도 없이 소리도 없이 언제부턴가 찬양팀을 비롯하여 교회의 여러 자리에서 섬겨주고 계신 이혜영 사모님, 필요의 때마다 조용히 자리해 주시고 열심으로 동역해 주시는 귀한 헌신에 감사를 드립니다. 여름부터는 찬양 인도를 맡아 수고해 주시며, 예배의 자리를 더욱 풍성하게 세워주십니다. 사모님을 통해 하나님께서 일하심을 다시금 느끼게 됩니다. 최근에는 어린이부 Gurung 목사님 사모님과 청년부 황혜린 자매님이 새롭게 합류하여 찬양과 예배의 지경이 넓어지고 있습니다. 든든히 세워져 가는 모습에 또 한 번 감사를 드립니다. 부족한 악기 세션, 활용도가 떨어지는 음향 시스템, 연습 시간을 맞추는 것도 쉽지 않고, 시간은 늘 부족함에도, “그래도 우리 함께 예배하자”라고 서로를 손잡고 격려하며 예배자로서 자리매김하고 있습니다. 이런 찬양팀에 인도자로 섬길 수 있었던 것이 얼마나 큰 은혜였는지 감사할 따름입니다. 우리 주님께서는 예배의 자리마다, 언제나 먼저 우리를 기다리고 계셨고, 우리의 부족함을 채워 주시며, 우리 마음의 찬양을 새롭게 하셨습니다. 우리의 찬양이 완전하지 않아도, 그 속에서 하나님이 영광 받으셨음을 믿고 감사드립니다. 계속해서 한미 찬양팀의 찬양이 교회와 성도들의 마음을 위로하고, 하나님께 더 가까이 나아가게 하는 통로가 되었기를 소망하고 기도합니다. 하나님이 기뻐하시는 예배자로 더욱 성장하기를 또한 기도합니다. 마지막으로, 모든 영광과 찬양과 감사를 오직 하나님께 올려드립니다. “여호와는 나의 힘이요 나의 노래시며, 나의 구원이 되셨도다.” (시편 118:14) 할렐루야! +++++++++++++++++++ Isaiah 43:21 declares that God’s people exist to reveal His glory and to offer Him praise. Praising God is not optional—it is the calling and duty of those created by Him. When I came to serve at KAMC, I once again took up the role of leading praise after it had paused for more than five years. I am grateful to God for calling me back to the place of praise, and above all, I am sincerely thankful that I have been able to serve alongside the KAMC Praise Team. Serving through praise is not merely a “task” but the place of a true “worshiper.” In that sense, the KAMC Praise Team is a community of worshipers whose hearts are genuinely rooted in praise. I am continually moved by our accompanist maestro, Deaconess Hyejun Ahn. Though she is both a music teacher and a gifted performer, she consistently supports and builds up the leader and team members with humility. I am also blessed by our multitalented member, Heejin Wang, who faithfully serves as choir accompanist, Wednesday service accompanist, singer, parent, and even youth leader—always with joy and dedication despite carrying many responsibilities. I am deeply grateful for Deaconess Sunok Lee, the steadfast guardian of the praise team, who continues to serve energetically even while working six days a week. Our long-time member, Brother Juhwan Park, continues to strengthen our worship with his quiet faithfulness, offering his voice and hidden guitar skills despite a busy daily life. And our eternal “center,” Deaconess Bokki Lee—who often says she “cannot live without praise”—continues to worship through both choir and praise team even when she is unwell. Her life itself is a testimony of worship. I also give thanks for Hyeyoung Lee “Samonim”, who has served quietly and faithfully in many areas of the church, including the praise team, often stepping in just when she is needed. Since the summer, she has taken on the role of leading praise, enriching our worship with her dedication and making us experience again how God works through her. More recently, Pastor Gurung’s wife from the Children’s Ministry and Sister Hyerin Hwang from the Young Adults’ Group have joined, expanding the breadth and depth of our praise and worship. I am once again grateful as I see our team being strengthened. Even though we have limited instrumental support, an aging sound system, and challenges coordinating practice times—and even though we often feel short on time—we continue to take one another’s hands and say, “Let’s worship together,” committing ourselves as worshipers before God. What a tremendous grace it has been to serve such a praise team as a leader! At every moment of worship, our Lord was already there waiting for us. He filled our deficiencies and renewed the song in our hearts. Even though our praise was not perfect, we believe and give thanks that God was glorified through it. I pray and hope that the praise of the KAMC Praise Team will continue to comfort the hearts of our church members and draw them closer to God. I also pray that we will keep growing into worshipers who delight the heart of God. Finally, I give all glory, praise, and thanks to God alone. “The Lord is my strength and my song; He has become my salvation.” (Psalm 118:14) Hallelujah!

We are truly grateful to God for His grace in helping David adjust so well to high school this year. As he entered this new chapter, there were many uncertainties—new classes, new teachers, new friends, and a much larger school environment. Over the summer, we began to notice signs of worry and anxiety, and as parents we prayed and encouraged him, trusting that God would guide his heart. One of the greatest blessings God provided for David was the KAMC Youth Group. David has always look forward to coming to church every Sunday. As a matter of fact, he would get ready hours before the church starts on Sundays and bugs me to go. The youth group has been an anchor of grace for him. And he looked forward to the youth summer retreat, and God used that retreat in a powerful way. Surrounded by peers who love the Lord, David found a safe place to share his fears and be encouraged. As school began, we saw God’s grace unfolding day by day. His teachers, far from being intimidating, turned out to be supportive and kind. He found familiar friends in his classes and made new ones across different grades, and what once felt overwhelming no longer seemed so big. Most of all, we thank God that He has expanded David’s circle of support in such meaningful ways. Along with his home family, God has gifted him a loving youth group family at KAMC — peers and leaders who strengthen his faith, remind him of who he is in Christ, and walk with him through challenges. And God has also given him a new community through JROTC at school, where he continues to build confidence and character. We are grateful beyond words for the ways God is shaping David’s life through these communities of faith and encouragement. We give all thanks and glory to God for His faithful guidance, His peace, and the people He has placed around David to help him grow. ++++++++++++ 무엇보다도 올해 데이비드가 고등학교 생활에 이렇게 잘 적응하도록 은혜를 베풀어 주신 하나님께 진심으로 감사드립니다. 홈 스쿨을 하다가 새롭게 큰 학교에 가게 되면서 여러가지 걱정이 있었습니다. 여름 동안 데이비드에게 걱정과 불안의 기색이 보이기 시작했고, 부모로서 저희는 하나님께서 그의 마음을 인도해 주실 것을 믿으며 기도하고 격려하는 것 외에는 더 해 줄 것이 없었습니다. 그 가운데 하나님께서 데이비드를 은혜로 인도해 주셨습니다. 무엇보다도 데이비드에게 주신 가장 큰 축복 중 하나는 한미감리교회(KAMC) 중고등부였습니다. 데이비드는 항상 주일마다 교회 오는 것을 기다렸습니다. 사실 주일이면 예배 시작 몇 시간 전부터 준비를 다 해놓고 저를 재촉할 정도였습니다. 중고등부는 데이비드를 붙잡아주는 은혜의 닻 이였습니다. 또한 데이비드는 중고등부 여름 수양회를 손꼽아 기다렸는데, 하나님께서는 그 수양회를 통해 강력하게 역사해 주셨습니다. 주님을 사랑하는 친구들 가운데서 데이비드는 자신의 두려움을 나누고 힘을 얻는 은혜를 경험했습니다. 그렇게 개학을 맡은 후, 우리는 매일매일 하나님의 은혜가 펼쳐지는 것을 보았습니다. 걱정했던 선생님들은 전혀 무섭지 않고 오히려 따뜻하고 친절한 분들이었으며, 수업 중에 익숙한 친구들을 만나게 되었고, 학년을 넘나들며 새로운 친구들도 사귀게 되었습니다. 처음에는 벅차게 느껴지던 학교 생활이 더 이상 그렇게 크게 느껴지지 않는다고 합니다. 무엇보다 감사한 것은 하나님께서 데이비드의 공동체를 더욱 의미 있게 넓혀 주셨다는 사실입니다. 가정뿐 아니라, KAMC 청소년부라는 사랑의 공동체 — 믿음으로 세워주고, 그가 그리스도 안에서 누구인지를 늘 상기시켜 주며, 삶의 도전을 함께 걸어주는 또 하나의 가족을 허락해 주셨고, 또한 학교에서 JROTC 활동을 통해 데이비드가 새로운 공동체를 만나 자신감과 인성을 계속해서 쌓아갈 수 있도록 인도해 주셨습니다. 이 모든 믿음과 사랑의 공동체들을 통해 하나님께서 데이비드의 삶을 빚어 가시는 것을 보면서 말로 다 할 수 없는 감사를 드립니다. 그 분의 신실한 인도하심과 데이비드의 성장을 위해 그의 곁에 세워 주신 모든 은혜의 천사들로 인해 감사와 영광을 하나님께 올려드립니다.

세상은 나를 지치고 힘들게 만들어도 주님은 늘 나를 새롭게 하여 주심을 믿기에 오늘도 힘차게 세상을 향해 믿음의 발걸음을 내딛습니다. 새벽 5시, 고요한 적막을 깨는 차 엔진소리와 함께 복음 CD에서 흘러나오는 찬송가와 말씀을 들으며 교회를 향해 달립니다. 지난 수요일 (11월5일) 새벽, 아직도 하늘에 떠있는 둥근 보름달이 어찌나 밝은 지 아직 미명인 데도 환한 대낮 같아 가로등들이 무색해 보였습니다. 교회로 향하는 제 길을 환하게 밝혀주며 따라오는 달에게 감사했습니다. 이렇듯 잠깐의 기쁨에도 감사가 절로 나오는데, 왜 하나님의 사랑은 당연한 것처럼 감사를 잊고 살아갈 때가 많았는지! 그 순간 하나님께 죄송함을 숨기지 못했습니다. 이번 감사의 계절에는 더욱더 하나님께 감사드리는 삶이 되길 바라며 영적으로 늘 께어 있기를 다짐해 봅니다. 지난 15년동안 매일같이 새벽 제단을 쌓게 하신 하나님 아버지! 감사합니다! 건강 과 시간, 그리고 의지 등 ... 새벽 예배를 드릴 수 있는 여러 여건들을 허락하심에 감사합니다. 겨울엔 폭설로 인해 위험 운전을 감수해야 할 때도 있었지만 지켜 주심에 또한 감사드립니다. 그런 날은 인터넷으로 더 많은 분들이 들어오십니다. 얼마나 기쁘고 감사한지요! 그런 날은 방송실 봉사에 더 큰 보람을 느끼게 됩니다. 어떤 이들은 묻습니다. 12시간이 넘는 시간을 business를 운영하느라 힘들 텐데 어떻게 하루도 빠짐없이 새벽기도를 할 수 있느냐고. 저는 이렇게 대답합니다. 다 하나님의 사랑과 은혜라고! 그리고 습관이 되면 좀 쉬워집니다. 물론 습관이 믿음을 지켜주진 않지만 대신 매일의 삶에 첫 시간을 기도로 시작하며 영적 호흡을 할 수 있음에 감사합니다. 그리고 매일 듣는 하나님의 말씀은 그날 하루를 즐겁게 일 할 수 있는 원동력이 되며 힘들고 지친 육체가 버틸 수 있는 에너지가 됩니다. 계속해서 새벽에 기도하는 새벽형으로 살고 싶습니다. 주님, 감사합니다! +++++++++++++++ Even when the world wears me down and makes life difficult, I step forward boldly in faith again every day at 5 am, headed for the early morning prayer morning, because I believe that the Lord always renews me. As the stillness of dawn is broken by the sound of my car engine, I drive toward the church listening to hymns and Scripture flowing out from a Gospel CD. Last Wednesday morning (November 5), the full moon still hanging in the sky was so bright that, even before daybreak, it felt like broad daylight. I felt grateful for the moon that illuminated my path all the way to church. As I gave thanks for such a simple moment of joy, I wondered why I so often forget to give thanks for God’s love, treating it as something taken for granted. In this Thanksgiving season, I pray that my life will be filled with deeper gratitude to God, and I resolve to stay spiritually awake. “Heavenly Father, thank You for allowing me to build the early morning altar every day for the past fifteen years! Thank You for providing the health, time, and will—everything needed to attend the early morning service. In winter, there were times when I had to risk driving through heavy snowstorms, and I thank You for protecting me then as well. On such days, even more people join online. How joyful and thankful that is! On those days, the work in the media booth feels even more rewarding!” Some people ask me how I manage to attend early morning prayer every single day when it must be exhausting to run a business for more than twelve hours a day. I answer this way: It is all by God’s love and grace! And once it becomes a habit, it does get a little easier. Of course, habit alone doesn’t sustain faith, but I am thankful that I can begin each day with prayer and breathe spiritually. The Word of God that I hear each morning becomes the driving force that allows me to work joyfully through the day, and it becomes the energy that sustains my tired and weary body. I want to continue living as a person of the early morning prayer. Lord, thank You!

한미교회의 청년부가 지난 한해 열심히 모일 수 있었던 것이 너무나 감사합니다. 김성태 목사님께서 청년부를 담당해주시고, 또 저를 간사로 불러 주셔서 2025년 한해 동안 적은 수이지만 열심히 모이고 교회의 여러가지 행사에도 작은 힘이지만 함께 참여할 수 있었던 것이 감사하지 않을 수 없네요. 교육부 여러 행사, 특별히 여름성경학교를 열심히 도왔고, 청년부원들로 찬양팀을 섬기게 하셨으며, 야외예배와 바자회를 통해 아이스커피와 달고나등을 판매하여 활동비를 모으고, 또한 1박 2일의 청년부 수양회를 통해 결속의 시간을 가지는 등, 많은 성장이 있게 하심을 감사드립니다. 무엇보다도 여름을 넘어오면서 커피브레이크 성경공부를 통해 말씀을 나누고 묵상하며 생각하게 하는 시간을 가지면서 믿음이 성장하는 청년부가 되었음이 가장 감사드립니다. 이렇게 성경공부와 교제, 봉사, 그리고 나눔의 시간을 통해서 서로에 대해 알아가고 더욱 친밀해지는 기회가 되었고, 또한 이는 서로를 위한 중보기도로 자연스럽게 이어지게 되었습니다. 이렇듯 하나의 공동체를 이루게 하시며 ‘함께’가는 것을 배우게 하심에 감사드리며, 새벽 이슬 같은 주의 청년들이 앞으로도 주님 앞에 경배 드리며 힘차게 나아 갈 수 있도록 여러분의 많은 기도와 관심 부탁드립니다. 감사합니다! +++++++++++++++ I am truly grateful that the Young Adults’ Group at KAMC was able to meet faithfully throughout this past year. I am thankful that Pastor Daniel Kim oversaw the ministry and that he called me to serve as a coordinator. Even though our group is small, we met consistently and were able to participate in various church events in meaningful ways throughout 2025. We were privileged to support Education Department events—especially VBS—with great enthusiasm. Our young adults also began serving on the praise team, and during the outdoor worship service and the church bazaar, we raised funds for our ministry by selling iced coffee and dalgona. Through our overnight retreat, we were able to deepen our fellowship and experience greater unity. Above all, I am most grateful that our faith grew as we gathered for the Coffee Break Bible Study, which began after the summer, sharing the Word, reflecting together, and being challenged by Scripture. Through Bible study, fellowship, service, and sharing time, we came to understand one another more deeply and grew closer as a community. This naturally led us to praying for one another in intercession. I am thankful that God has shaped us into one body and taught us what it means to walk this journey together. Please continue to pray for our young adults—like the morning dew of the Lord—that they may keep moving forward with strength and joy. Thank you!

지난 봄, 두꺼운 겨울을 벗어 난 얕은 봄 그 길목에서, 한미감리교회를 찾아온 저를 십자가를 바라보는 새벽예배의 자리로 불러 주신 주님께 감사를 드립니다. 그 곳에서 저의 움츠렸던 영혼을 감싸주신 따뜻한 주님의 임재하심에 여러 번 눈물이 터지곤 하였습니다. 특별히 지난 사순절 특별 새벽 예배 40일 기간 동안 주님의 임재를 느낄 수 있었던 은혜의 그 자리로 인도해 주신 주님께 감사를 드립니다. 그렇게 사순절에 시작한 말씀과 기도가 지금은 나의 삶의 루틴이 되어 매일 매일의 삶 가운데 내 자신의 내면을 보게 하시며, 늘 주님을 생각하며, 주님을 만나게 해 주십니다. 또한 두 달 전 18년 동안 경영하던 사업을 마치고, 남은 삶을 가치 있게 살고 싶다는 마음으로 기도하고 있을 때, 주님께서는 가장 먼저 홈리스 선교팀에 참여할 수 있도록 인도해 주셨습니다. 아울러 말씀 가운데 나의 신앙이 성장할 수 있는 성경공부 모임에도 참석하면서 모든 것을 살피시고 예비하시는 주님의 은혜에 감사하게 됩니다. 이렇듯 이번 가을, 내 생에 가장 멋지고 행복한 시온의 대로를 걷게 하신 주님! 주님이 곁에 계셔서 진정 감사를 드립니다. ++++++++++ Last spring, at the threshold where the heavy winter finally gave way to the gentle warmth of early spring, I found my way to Hanmi Methodist Church. I give thanks to the Lord who called me to the place of the early morning prayer service, where I could, once again, gaze upon the cross. There, in that place, I found tears welling up as I felt the warm presence of the Lord embracing my once-shrinking soul. Especially during the forty days of the Lenten early morning prayer services, once again, the Lord led me to the place of grace where I could so strongly sense His presence. The Word and prayer that began during Lent have now become a daily rhythm of my life. Through them, the Lord allows me to look within myself, to keep my thoughts fixed on Him, and to meet Him each and every day. Two months ago, after bringing to a close the business I had run for eighteen years, I prayed with a desire to live the rest of my life with true purpose. In response, the Lord led me to the homeless ministry team. Along with that, He guided me to a Bible study where my faith could grow through His Word. I am grateful for the Lord’s grace, who sees all things and prepares all things. This fall, the Lord has allowed me to walk the most beautiful and joyful highway of Zion in my entire life. I am truly thankful that the Lord is right by my side.

It has been more than a year since my family, and I became part of KAMC. When I look back and remember the many showers of blessings I have received from God and from His people throughout this year, it truly goes beyond anything I could have imagined. Among these blessings, one of the most meaningful was this summer’s Vacation Bible School (VBS), through which all our Seed Ministry children, teachers, and parents were abundantly blessed. Because it had been several years since we last held VBS—due to various circumstances, including COVID—it was a challenge for all of us. Yet God provided in every way. Our teachers worked tirelessly, putting in extra effort to prepare materials and decorations. Church members served joyfully by preparing delicious meals. Parents were excited to bring their children, and the children themselves were eager to learn God’s Word through creative and engaging illustrations. Although VBS lasted only three days, the precious memories will remain in our hearts for a long time. God’s children truly showed what it means to be one body in Christ, supporting and praying for the success of VBS together. Under the roof of KAMC, the next generation of God’s people is being raised—children who will one day impact our community and even our nation. I am deeply grateful to God for allowing me to be part of the KAMC family and the Seed Ministry. 제가 가족들과 함께 한미감리교회(KAMC) 공동체의 일원이 된 지도 어느덧 1년이 넘었습니다. 지난 한 해 동안 하나님과 교회 성도님들을 통해 부어 주신 은혜의 단비를 돌아보면, 제 상상을 뛰어넘는 축복이었습니다. 그중 하나가 바로 올여름에 있었던 VBS(여름성경학교)입니다. 오랫동안 여러 이유로, 특히 코로나로 인해 진행하지 못했던 VBS를 다시 준비하는 과정은 우리 모두에게 쉽지 않은 도전이었습니다. 선생님들은 교재와 장식을 위해 남다른 노력을 기울여 주셨고, 교우들은 정성껏 맛있는 점심을 준비해 주셨습니다. 학부모님들도 아이들을 시간을 맞춰 기쁘게 데려다 주셨고, 아이들은 생생한 스토리와 활동을 통해 하나님의 말씀을 배우는 일에 큰 열정을 보였습니다. 비록 VBS는 3일간 진행되었지만, 그 아름다운 기억들은 우리의 마음과 생각 속에 오래도록 남을 것입니다. 온 교회가 VBS의 성공을 위해 서로 돕고 기도함으로써 한 몸 된 그리스도의 공동체가 어떠한지 귀한 본을 보여 주었습니다. 다음 세대를 책임질 하나님의 자녀들이 이 KAMC 공동체 아래에서 자라나고 있으며, 앞으로 지역사회와 더 넓은 세상에 선한 영향력을 미칠 것이라 확신합니다. 한미감리교회와 SEED 어린이 사역의 일원이 된 것에 대해 하나님께 진심으로 감사드립니다.

먼저 저희를 사랑하셔서 귀한 홈리스 사역에 불러 주신 하나님께 감사를 드립니다. 차가워지는 날씨에 내일 사역을 위한 쇼핑을 하면서 곧 눈이 내리는 추운 겨울이 올 것을 생각하니 괜스레 마음이 급해지네요. 꽁꽁 얼어붙은 길거리에서 몸도 가누지 못하며 살고 있는 그들의 모습을 떠올리면서 우리 사역이 얼마나 소중한 일인지를 다시 한번 마음에 새겨 보며, 이 일을 감당케 하시는 하나님께 진정으로 감사를 드립니다. 김영옥 권사님등 여러분께서 신실하게 이끌어 오신 홈리스 선교를 이어받아 지난 일년동안 한달도 거르지 않고 매월 셋째 토요일에 다운타운에 나가 150여명의 홈리스 형제 자매님들께 식사를 제공하고 기도해 주는 일을 감당했습니다. 많게는 30명, 적게는 10여명이 참가했고, 거의 매달 새롭게 참여하는 교우들이 있어서 감사했습니다. 그리고 금년에는 무엇보다도 남자 분들의 참여가 크게 늘어서 큰 도움이 된 것, 또 견신례반을 통해서 중고등부 학생들의 참여도 많이 늘게 된 것이 큰 감사입니다. 이자리를 빌어 토요일 아침 일찍 나와 음식을 준비해 주신 천사 같은 여러분들, 알게 모르게 여러가지 물품을 도네이션 해 주시고, 또 홈리스 선교를 위해서 많은 헌금을 해 주신 귀한 성도님들, 그리고 매달 킹수퍼등에서 도넛, 케잌, 빵등을 푸짐하게 도네이션 받아 주시는 박미숙 권사님등 홈리스 선교를 위해서 물심양면 도와주시는 여러분께도 감사를 드립니다. 언제부터인가 우리를 기다렸다는 듯 반겨주며 God bless you! 을 덧붙여 인사하는 이들을 보면서 샌드위치를 주고받는 사이를 넘어서 서로를 진정으로 위해 주는 그런 관계가 되어가고 있구나 하는 생각이 들면서 더욱 기도로 준비해야겠구나 하는 도전을 받습니다. 매월 세번째 토요일에 새벽 기도 마치고 함께 음식을 만들어서, 10시 25에 본당에 모여 기도드리고 교회에서 출발합니다. 사역지로 바로 오시는 분은 11시까지 Springs Rescue Mission 앞으로 오시면 되고요, 금년도 마지막 12월 선교에는 성탄절의 기쁨을 함께 나누는 선물도 준비하려고 하니 여러분의 많은 후원과 기도, 그리고 참여를 부탁드립니다. 다시한번 귀한 사역을 감당케 하신 하나님께 감사드립니다! +++++++++++ First, I give thanks to God, who loves us and has called us into this precious homeless ministry. As I was shopping today for tomorrow’s outreach in the increasingly cold weather, my heart felt a sense of urgency, knowing that the snowy and bitter winter days are just around the corner. Thinking about those who live on the streets, unable even to keep their bodies warm in the freezing cold, I was reminded once again of how important this ministry is. I sincerely thank God, who enables us to carry out this work. Continuing the homeless ministry that Exhorter Young Cummins and many others have faithfully led, we have served every third Saturday of the month for the past year without missing a single month—going downtown to offer meals and prayer to about 150 homeless brothers and sisters. Sometimes as many as 30 volunteers joined, and at other times about 10. We were grateful that nearly every month new church members joined our work. And this year, we are especially thankful that the number of men participating has increased significantly, and that through the Confirmation class, many of our Youth Group students have also joined us. I would also like to express my gratitude to all the “angels” who come early on Saturday mornings to prepare food, to those who quietly donate various items behind the scenes, and to the wonderful members who have given generously to support the homeless ministry. I also thank Exhorter Misuk Hasberry, who faithfully brings abundant donations of donuts, cakes, and bread every month from King Soopers and others. Thank you to all who support this ministry in so many different ways. At some point, we began to notice how many of our homeless friends now greet us warmly—as if they had been waiting for us—and add, “God bless you!” Every time I hear that, I realize that our relationship has grown beyond simply handing out sandwiches; we are becoming people who genuinely care for one another. It challenges me to prepare even more prayerfully. Every third Saturday, after early morning prayer, we prepare food together. At 10:25 AM we gather in the sanctuary for prayer and then depart from the church. Those who want to come directly to the ministry site can join us in front of Springs Rescue Mission by 11:00 AM. For our final outreach of this year in December, we hope to bring gifts to share the joy of Christmas as well. We ask for your support, prayers, and participation. Once again, we thank God for allowing us to carry out this wonderful ministry!

할렐루야! 여호와께 감사하라! 모든 것이 풍성하고, 또한 모든 것에 감사드릴 수 있는 이 가을에 저 또한 저의 마음을 풍성하게 채워 주신 주님께 감사를 드립니다. 둘째 아들을 잃어버린 슬픔이 아직도 아리지만, 그럼에도 불구하고, 주님께서 저의 가정에 계속하여 믿음의 삶을 살아 갈 수 있는 은혜를 주심에 감사드립니다. 셋째가 최근 새로운 가정을 이루었습니다. 주님께서 축복하심에 결혼식을 잘 치렀고, 더불어 가족이 하나되게 해 주심에 더욱 감사드립니다. 첫째 Adrian도 동생의 죽음으로 인해 마음을 닫고 어렵게 지냈던 지난 2년간의 상처를 딛고 일어나게 해 주셔서 주님께 너무 감사를 드립니다. 또한 메일 기도로 살아갈 수 있게 해 주신 주님께서 제 기도의 응답을 주셔서 더욱 감사를 드리며, 저희 가족을 하나로 묶어 주신 은혜와 기쁨을 함께 나누기 원합니다. 풍성하게 채워 주신 이 계절 … 더욱 풍성하신 주님께 감사와 영광을 돌려 드립니다. Hallelujah! Give thanks to the Lord! In this autumn season when everything is abundant and when we can give thanks for all things, I too give thanks to the Lord who has richly filled my heart. Although the sorrow of losing my second son still lingers painfully, I am grateful that the Lord continues to give my family the grace to live a life of faith. Our third child recently began a new family. By the Lord’s blessing, the wedding went well, and I am even more thankful that He has united our family in harmony. I also give deep thanks to the Lord for helping my oldest, Adrian, rise above the hurt of the past two years—years of hardship and a closed heart after his brother’s passing. And I am grateful that the Lord has sustained me through daily prayer, hearing my prayers and granting His answers. I wish to share the joy and grace of how He has bound our family together as one. In this season filled with abundance, I offer thanksgiving and glory to the Lord, who is even more abundant.

가을 햇살이 부드럽게 내려앉은 어느 날, 친구들과 함께 산길을 걸었습니다. 붉고 노랗게 물든 단풍이 발끝에 수북이 쌓이고, 바람이 얼굴을 스치며 속삭였습니다. “보아라, 하나님께서 빚으신 세상이 얼마나 아름다운지.” 하이킹을 함께하는 이 친구들은 제게 단순한 동행이 아닙니다. 힘든 오르막길에서는 “조금만 더 가면 돼” 하며 서로를 격려하고, 멋진 풍경 앞에서는 함께 감탄하며 찬양을 올립니다. 길을 걸으며 나누는 대화 속에는 웃음도, 위로도, 그리고 하나님께서 주신 사랑이 스며 있습니다. 이곳 콜로라도 스프링스로 이사 온 지 벌써 4년, 지인 하나 없던 낯선 곳에서 … 한미감리교회를 만나게 하시고. 교회 안에서 귀한 “친구”들을 만나게 하신 주님께 마음 깊이 감사를 드립니다. 친구는 함께 걷는 또 하나의 기도입니다. 길이 멀어도 외롭지 않은 이유, 바로 곁에서 같은 방향을 바라보며 걸어주는 이들이 있기 때문입니다. 오늘도 감사드립니다. 아름다운 산길을 허락하시고, 그 길을 함께 걸어줄 “친구”들을 제게 보내주신 주님께 One autumn day, when the sunlight gently settled on the mountains, I walked along a forest trail with friends. Crimson and golden leaves were piled up at our feet, and the breeze brushed across our faces and whispered, “Behold how beautiful the world God has created is.” These friends who hike with me are more than mere companions. On steep uphill paths, we cheer each other on—“Just a little farther!”— and before breathtaking views, we marvel together and lift our songs of praise. In our conversations along the way, there is laughter, comfort, and the love that God has poured into our hearts. It has already been four years since I moved to Colorado Springs. In this unfamiliar place where I once knew no one, God led me to the Korean American Methodist Church and blessed me with precious “friends” within the church. For that, I offer my heartfelt gratitude to the Lord. A friend is another form of prayer walking beside you. Even when the road is long, I am not lonely, because there are those who walk with me, looking in the same direction. Today again, I give thanks— to the Lord who has given me this beautiful mountain path and sent me “friends” to walk with me.
