지난 목요일 사택에서 한나 여선교회 떡국 잔치가 있었습니다. 남현아 사모님께서 끓여 주신 맛있는 떡국과 함께 여러 손길이 모아주신 귀한 음식을 나누고 "성령이 충만한 자" "믿음의 반석위에 서 있는자" 가 누구인지 알아보는 게임도 하며 즐거운 시간을 보냈습니다. 함께 해 주신 여러분께 감사를 드리며, 한나 여선교회 여러분들께 금년 한해도 건강과 기쁨이 넘치는 감사한 한해가 되길 기도 드립니다! Last Thursday, the Hannah Women's Mission Group held a Tteokguk (rice cake soup) gathering at the parsonage. We enjoyed the delicious Tteokguk prepared by Ms. Wendi Nam-Kim, along with a variety of wonderful dishes lovingly prepared by many hands. We also had a fun time playing a game to discover who is "filled with the Holy Spirit" and who is "standing on the rock of faith." A heartfelt thank you to everyone who joined us! We pray that this year will be a blessed one, filled with health and joy, for all the members of the Hannah Women's Mission Group!

지난 1월 마지막 토요일에 홈리스 선교가 있었습니다. 그날 교회를 떠나기전 선교부장이신 김선희 집사님께서 "오늘 봉사를 하면서, 음식만 나누지 말고 한명씩 홈리스 이웃의 이름을 물어보고 그들을 알아가는 기회가 되자"고 말씀해 주셔서 저도 우리가 봉사하는 테이블 근처에 서성대고 있는 분이 있길래 다가가 이름을 물어보고 대화를 나눴습니다. 마이클 이라고 자신을 소개한 뒤, 우리팀이 셋업한 테이블 뒤쪽을 가리키면서 "저기가 내집"이라며 자신이 근처에 서성대고 있는 이유를 알려 주었습니다. 우리가 모르고 그분 집(?!) 앞을 차지했던 것입니다. 우리가 떠날 때가 되었을 때 제게 자신의 "집"앞에서 사진을 하나 찍어 달라면서 "오늘 여러분이 나 같은 사람에게 큰 도움을 주었다는 것을 교회분들에게 꼭 알려 주면 고맙겠습니다"라고 부탁하는 것입니다. 내일 또 홈리스 선교를 나갑니다. 날씨가 아직 춥지만 사랑의 손길을 기다리고 있는 이들이 있기에 담대하게 나서는 길에 많은 분들이 함께 할 수 있으면 좋겠습니다. 음식준비는 새벽기도회가 끝나고 하게 되며, 교회에서 출발은 10시 30분입니다. 감사합니다! On the last Saturday of January, we had our homeless outreach mission. Before leaving the church that day, our Mission Director, Deacon Sunhee Kim, encouraged us by saying, "As we serve today, let’s not just distribute food, but take the opportunity to ask for the names of our homeless neighbors and get to know them." Taking her words to heart, I noticed someone lingering near our serving table. I approached him, asked for his name, and started a conversation. He introduced himself as Michael and pointed to an area behind the table we had set up, saying, "That’s my home." That’s when I realized why he had been standing nearby — we had unknowingly set up right in front of his "home." As we were about to leave, Michael asked me to take a picture of him in front of his "home" and said, "Please let your church members know how much you’ve helped someone like me today. I would really appreciate it." Tomorrow, we will be heading out for another homeless outreach mission. The weather is still cold, but there are people waiting for a warm touch of love. So, I invite you to join our "bold" adventure tomorrow! We will prepare food after the early morning prayer service, and we will depart from the church at 10:30 AM. Thank you!

목회를 하면서 여러 목회자 모임에 참석하게 되는데, 그 때마다 여러 새로운 아이디어도 얻고 선배님들의 좋은 경험을 통해 배우기도 하며, 후배들의 신선한 아이디어에 도전도 받고 하기에 될 수 있으면 좋은 모임에 열심히 참여하려고 하고 있습니다. 스프링스에서는 교역자 모임이 두달에 한번씩 있습니다. 지난 12월에 저희 교회에서 식사를 대접하고 좋은 모임을 가졌습니다. 순서에 따라 금년에 제가 이 교역자 모임에 총무를 맡게 되었고, 내년에는 회장을 맡아야 한다고 하네요. 잘 감당할 수 있도록 기도를 부탁드립니다. 또한 지난 달에는 이 지역에 계신 감리교회 목사님들과 식사 자리를 가졌습니다. 은퇴등의 이유로 한인교회 교역자 모임에 참여하지 못하시는 감리교 목사님들이 꽤 되시기에 따로 자리를 마련해서 좋은 교제의 시간을 가졌습니다. 일년에 한두번 감리교 목사님들을 따로 모시고 말씀을 나누려고 생각하고 있습니다. 오늘부터 이틀간 달라스에서 있는 한미연회 장로목사회 모임에 참석하게 됩니다. 오랫만에 우리 연회의 목사님들을 다시 만날 수 있는 기회가 주어져서 기대가 되고 마음이 설레네요. 앞으로 여러 목회자 모임을 통해서 우리 교회가 잘 성장하는 동력을 얻을 수 있기를 바라면서 여러분의 관심과 기도를 부탁드립니다. 감사합니다! In the walks of ministry, there are opportunities to attend various gatherings of pastors. Each time, I gain new ideas, learn from the valuable experiences of senior pastors, and am challenged by the fresh perspectives of younger pastors. That’s why I try to actively participate in meaningful gatherings whenever possible. In Colorado Springs, there is a pastors’ meeting every two months. Last December, our church hosted one of these meetings and provided a meal. I am told that it is our church's turn this year to be the secretary for the association, and next year, I am expected to serve as its president. I ask for your prayers so that I may fulfill these responsibilities well. Last month, I also had a meal gathering with Methodist pastors in the area. Many of them are unable to attend the Korean church pastors’ meetings due to retirement or other reasons, so we arranged a separate gathering for Methodists and enjoyed great fellowship. I am considering organizing one or two such meetings each year. Starting today, I will be attending the Korean-American Annual Conference Elders’ Gathering in Dallas for two days. I am excited and looking forward to another opportunity to reconnect with great pastors, this time, from our conference. Thank you for your prayers and supports for these gatherings. Thank you!

지난 토요일 가졌던 남여선교회 축복 새벽기도회로 금년도 토요 특새를 마쳤습니다. 새해를 시작하면서 지난 한달간 토요일마다 특별 새벽기도회로 모였는데 130명이 넘는 총인원이 참석해 주셔서 뜻깊게 새해를 시작할 수 있어서 감사드립니다. 특별히 중고등부 학생들과 EM 교우들이 함께 해 서로 축복해 줄 수 있어서 너무 감사했습니다. 남여선교회 여러분께는 손에 쥐고 기도할 수 있는 손십자가를 선물로 드렸는데, 중고등부의 십자가 목걸이, 그리고 EM 교우들께 드린 돌십자가와 함께 늘 기도함을 상기시키는 귀한 선물이 되기를 바랍니다. 이렇게 기도로 시작한 25년 새해에는 서로를 향한 끊임없는 기도로 하나님의 기적을 풍성히 체험하는 한 해가 되기를 간절히 바라면서 내일 토요 새벽기도회에 (6시 30분) 여러분을 초대합니다! 아멘! We concluded this year’s Saturday Special Early Morning Prayer Meetings with the Men's and Women's Mission Society Blessing Prayer Meeting held last Saturday. Over the past month, we gathered every Saturday for these special early morning prayer meetings to start the new year, and I am deeply grateful that more than 130 people participated, making it a truly meaningful beginning to the year. I am especially thankful that our youth group students, along with our EM members, joined us, allowing us to bless one another in prayer. As a token of encouragement, we passed out "hand-held crosses" to the members of the Men's and Women's Mission Society. We also gave cross necklaces to our youth and stone crosses to our EM members, hoping that these gifts will serve as reminders to pray continually. As we step into this new year in prayer, I earnestly pray that we will experience the abundant miracles of God through our ceaseless prayers for one another! Amen!

지난 토요일 금년도 첫 속장, 인도자 모임이 있었습니다. 앞으로 일년간 귀한 속회 사역을 위해서 수고해 주실 여러분께 다시 한번 감사를 드리며, 속장, 인도자님이 지치지 않고 힘차게 돌봄의 사역을 감당할 수 있도록 많은 기도의 후원을 부탁드립니다. 또한 지난 주일에는 금년도 첫 연합속회가 모였습니다. 온교인이 찬양과 함께, 지난 한달간 기쁨의 언덕을 통해 묵상해온 창세기 말씀을 성경퀴즈 시간을 통해 돌아보며 즐거운 교제의 시간을 가졌습니다. 함께 해 주신 여러분과 모임을 준비해 주신 김성태 목사님께 감사를 드리며, 앞으로 매월 마지막 주일에 있을 연합속회를 통해서 각 속 모임이 더욱 힘을 얻는 귀한 역사가 있기를 바랍니다! 2월 마지막 주일에 있을 두번째 연합속회도 기대해 주세요! Last Saturday, we held our first gathering of the year for class leaders. I would like to express my heartfelt gratitude once again to all of those who will be dedicating themselves to the important work of small group ministry throughout the year. I also ask for your continuing prayers and support for them so that they may carry out their ministry of care with strength and without growing weary. This past Sunday, we also held our first Joint Small Group Meeting of the year. The entire congregation gathered in praise and joyful fellowship while reflecting on the Book of Genesis with a Bible quiz session. I sincerely thank everyone who participated and especially Pastor Daniel Kim for leading the gathering. We look forward to seeing each small group strengthened through these monthly Joint Small Group Meetings, which will take place on the last Sunday of every month. See you all at our second gathering at the end of February!

수퍼 토요일! 오는 토요일은 참 여러가지 행사가 있는 수퍼 토요일입니다. 1) 먼저 2025년도 마지막 토요 축복 특새가 있습니다. 이번 특새는 특별히 남선교회와 여선교회 여러분들을 축복해 주는 시간을 갖고자 합니다. 늘 교회일에 묵묵히 수고하시는 여러분들의 삶과 가정을 하나님께서 축복해 주시고, 또한 금년 한해도 힘차게 섬길 수 있도록 힘주시기를 함께 기도했으면 합니다. 기도회후에는 여선교회에서 준비한 아침을 함께 나누게 되겠습니다. 2) 속장, 인도자 모임이 있습니다. 금년도 처음 모이는 속장, 인도자 모임에 한분도 빠짐없이 참석하셔서 힘차게 한해를 시작할 수 있기를 바랍니다. 3) 또한 이번 토요일에는 금년도 첫번째 홈리스 선교가 있습니다. 비록 최고 기온이 24도밖에 되지 않는 추운 날씨이고 눈도 50% 예보되고 있지만 다행히 눈은 1인치 내외로 오후에 내린다고 하니 12시쯤 마감하는 우리 사역에는 큰 지장이 없을 것 같습니다. 옷 단단히 입고 함께 참여해 주시기 바랍니다. 교회에서 10시 30분에 떠납니다. 새해 첫달 마지막 토요일을 하나님의 은혜로 화려하게 장식할 수 있기를 바랍니다! 한미 화이팅! This Saturday is a Super Saturday with several exciting events lined up. 2025 Last Saturday Blessing Early Morning Prayer This Saturday marks the final Saturday Blessing Early Morning Prayer of 2025. This time, we will take a special moment to bless the members of the Men’s and Women’s Mission Groups. We want to lift up to God the lives and families of those who faithfully and quietly serve the church and pray together that God will empower them to serve boldly throughout the year. After the prayer meeting, breakfast prepared by the Women’s Mission Group will be shared together. Small Group Leaders Meeting There will be the first Small Group Leaders Meeting of the year at 7:30 AM. We encourage everyone to attend without missing this opportunity to kick off the year with renewed strength and unity. First Homeless Mission of the Year This Saturday will also feature the first Homeless Mission of the year. Despite the chilly weather with a high of only 24°F and a 50% chance of snow, the forecast suggests the snowfall will be minimal (about 1 inch) and in the afternoon, so it shouldn’t impact our ministry, which ends around noon. Please dress warmly and join us. We will leave the church at 10:30 AM. Let’s gloriously wrap up the last Saturday of January with God’s grace! Let's go KAMC!

지난 주일 2025년도 첫번째 임원회가 모였습니다. 교회 조직과 장정에 대해 함께 공부하는 시간을 가졌고, 여러 대화를 통해서 금년에는 무엇보다도 "기도하는 교회"가 되자고 다짐하는 시간을 가졌습니다. 또한 총액 565,000불로 금년도 예산을 책정했습니다. 내일 수요일 (22일)에는 수요예배를 임원 헌신예배로 드립니다. 많이 참석하셔서 격려해 주시고 함께 기도해 주시면 감사하겠습니다. 임원단, 화이팅! Last Sunday, we held our first Church Council meeting for 2025. We took time to study the church structure and the Discipline of GMC together, and through various discussions, we committed to becoming a "praying church" above all else this year. Additionally, we set the budget for this year at a total of $565,000. Tomorrow, Wednesday (the 22nd), we will have our Wednesday worship service as a dedication service for the church leaders. Your attendance and encouragement would be greatly appreciated, and we ask for your prayers as well. Go team leadership!

지난 두주 토요일마다 특별 새벽기도회로 은혜로운 시간을 가졌습니다. 첫번째 토요일에는 우리 자녀들에게 십자가 목걸이를 걸어주며 축복해 주는 시간을 가졌으며, 두번째 토요일에는 EM의 교우 여러분들을 둘러싸고 함께 손을 얹고 기도해 드리는 시간을 가졌습니다. 한해를 시작하며 이렇게 우리교회의 귀한 지체들을 축복해 주는 시간을 가질 수 있어서 너무 감사했습니다. 오는 토요일에는 여선교회 여러분들을 위한 기도 시간을 준비하고 있었는데 일기 예보를 보니 한파와 함께 눈이 3~5 인치 밤새 내린다고 합니다. 아무래도 많은 분들이 새벽에 나오기가 힘드실 것 같아서 여선교회를 위한 특별 축복 시간은 다음주 토요일로 미뤄 남선교회와 함께 축복의 시간을 가지려고 합니다. 여러분의 양해를 바랍니다. 내일 새벽 기도회는 취소되지 않고 정기 기도회로 모입니다. 다만 특별 기도회 순서만 연기가 되겠습니다. 감사합니다. Over the past two Saturdays, we had a truly blessed time during our special dawn prayer meetings. On the first Saturday, we blessed our children by placing cross necklaces around their necks. On the second Saturday, we gathered around our EM members, laid hands on them, and prayed together. I am deeply grateful that we could begin the year by blessing these different bodies of our church. This coming Saturday, we had planned a prayer time dedicated to the Women’s Mission Society. However, according to the weather forecast, a cold wave accompanied by 3–5 inches of snow is expected to fall overnight. Considering that it may be difficult for many members of the Women's Mission to attend the early morning, we have decided to postpone the special blessing time for the Women’s Mission Society to next Saturday. On that day, we will hold a combined blessing time for both the Women’s and Men’s Mission Societies. We kindly ask for your understanding. Tomorrow’s dawn prayer meeting will proceed as scheduled as a regular prayer meeting, but the special prayer program will be postponed. Thank you.

지난 토요일 John Shin 집사님 가정에서 Homeless 선교팀을 초대해 귀한 대접을 해 주셨습니다. 정성으로 차린 상이 감사했고, 무엇보다도 신 집사님의 오랜 내공으로 구워주신 양고기는 정말 일품이었습니다. 오는 한해도 열심히 섬기는 홈리스 선교팀이 되고자 다짐하는 귀한 시간이 되었기에 다시 한번 감사를 드립니다. 홈리스 선교팀은 매월 세번째 토요일에 다운타운에서 선교사역을 감당하게 됩니다. 관심 있으신 분들은 선교부장이신 김선희 집사님이나 오영숙 집사님께 문의해 주시기 바랍니다. 한가지 공지사항은 1월 사역이 있기로 한 18일, 토요일에는 심한 한파가 예보되어서 1월 사역은 한주 미룬 25일에 있게 되겠습니다. 다시 한번 여러분의 관심과 후원, 기도를 부탁드립니다. Last Saturday, the family of Deacon Shin graciously hosted the Homeless Mission Team. We were deeply grateful for the heartfelt hospitality and the deliciously prepared table. Most notably, the lamb grilled by Deacon Shin, with his years of expertise, was truly exceptional. It was a meaningful time for the team to reaffirm their commitment to serving diligently in the coming year, and we express our heartfelt thanks once again. The Homeless Mission Team carries out mission work downtown on the third Saturday of every month. If you are interested in participating, please reach out to Mission Department leaders, Deacon Sunny Kim or Deacon Youngsook Oh. One announcement: due to a severe cold wave forecast for Saturday, January 18, the January mission work has been postponed by one week and will now take place on January 25. 새벽부터 오후까지 북적대던 부엌과 친교실도 이제는 조용하고, 아침내내 전을 부치느라 진동했던 고소한 기름냄새도 이제는 여운만 남아있고 ... 오후내내 연습하던 성가대의 찬양소리도 그친 저녁시간, 내일 드려질 성탄주일 예배 마지막 점검을 하며 퇴근하기 전 몇 자 적어 봅니다. 고요함으로 채워진 교회당을 보니 감사의 파도가 밀려옵니다. 내일 드려질 예배와 찬양을 생각하니 감사하고, 내일 함께 나눌 푸짐한 잔치를 생각하니 감사하고 ... 풍성한 성탄주일을 위해서 며칠, 몇 주를 고생한 교우들을 생각하니 그저 감사하고, 성탄절의 주인공이신 예수님을 생각하니 ... 눈물 나도록 감사하고! 우리 삶의 최고의 축복이 되신 예수님의 나심을 축하하고, 기뻐하고, 새롭게 기억하는 날입니다. 감사한 마음으로 함께 모여 기쁘게 예배 드릴 수 있기를 바랍니다. 내일 뵙겠습니다! From early dawn until the afternoon, the bustling kitchen and fellowship hall are now quiet. The savory aroma of oil that lingered in the air as we fried Korean pancakes all morning has faded, leaving only a trace. The choir's voices that filled the afternoon with rehearsal have also grown silent this evening. As I make the final preparations for tomorrow’s Christmas Sunday service and prepare to head home, I write these few words. Looking at the church now filled with stillness, waves of gratitude wash over me. Thinking about tomorrow’s worship and praise fills me with thankfulness. Thinking of the abundant feast we’ll share together fills me with gratitude. Remembering the brothers and sisters who have worked tirelessly for days and weeks to prepare for this joyous Christmas Sunday fills me with even more gratitude. And most of all, thinking of Jesus, the central figure of Christmas—our Savior—moves me to tears of overwhelming thankfulness. It is a day to celebrate, rejoice, and freshly remember the birth of Jesus, who is the greatest blessing in our lives. I look forward to seeing all of us gathering together with thankful hearts and joyfully worship. See you tomorrow!

지난 주 금요일, 중보기도팀과 함께 최연자 권사님댁에 심방을 다녀 왔습니다. Stroke으로부터 많이 회복되셔서 감사함과 함께 아직 완전히 자유롭지 못한 왼쪽팔도 마저 완쾌 되기를 함께 간절히 기도했습니다. 심방을 마치고 좋은 식당에서 함께 아침을 나누는 기쁨의 시간도 가졌습니다. 지난 수요일 서병선 권사님께서 퇴원하셔서 집으로 돌아 오셨습니다. 많이 나아지셨음에 감사드리며, 이제 수술한 오른손을 위한 재활훈련을 곧 시작하신다고 합니다. 몸과 마음이 빨리 쾌차하실 수 있도록 기도를 부탁드립니다. 아프신 분들이 조금씩 나아지심을 보며 감사드리며, 이 땅에 오사 많은 병자를 고치신 예수님의 능력으로 모든 분들이 강건케 되는 이 대강절이 되기를 간절히 기도드립니다.

지난 화요일에는 목회협력위원회 위원들이 지난 한해를 감사하며 함께 식사하는 시간이 있었습니다. 목회자와 여러 스태프들이 맡겨진 사명을 잘 감당하도록 뒤에서 기도하며 돕는 중요한 사역을 지난 일년간 신실하게 감당해 주신 여러분께 깊은 감사를 드리며, 모든 목회위원들이 다 함께 하지는 못했지만 연말에 뜻깊은 자리를 마련해 주신 위원장 박니나 집사님께 또한 감사를 드립니다. 수고 많으셨습니다! Last Tuesday, the members of the Staff Parish Relations Committee gathered for a meal together, reflecting on the past year with gratitude. I deeply thank all of you who have faithfully carried out the important ministry of supporting and praying for our pastors and staff to fulfill their entrusted missions over the past year. Although not all committee members were able to attend, I would also like to express my heartfelt gratitude to Chairperson Nina Park for hosting such a meaningful year-end gathering. Thank you, all, for your hard work!

오늘 루디아 여선교회에서 소방서를 방문해 성탄절 선물을 한아름 나누고 왔습니다. 그리고 에스터, 루디아, 한나 여선교회 회장님들께서 목회실을 방문해 주셔서 내년 계획을 위한 여러가지 좋은 대화를 나눌 수 있었습니다. 지난 일년간 많이 수고해 주시고 이제 2년째 임기를 시작하시는 회장님들께 깊은 감사를 드리며, 새롭게 시작하는 25년 새해에는 더 크고 놀라운 일들이 많을 것 같아 큰 기대를 해 봅니다. 감사합니다! Today, the Lydia Women’s Mission visited the local fire station and shared an abundance of Christmas gifts. Additionally, the presidents of the Esther, Lydia, and Hannah Women’s Missions visited the church office, allowing us to have meaningful discussions about plans for the upcoming year. I deeply appreciate these ladies for their hard work over the past year and as they now begin the second year of their terms. I look forward to the wonderful things that await us in 2025. Thank you!
