Good morning, KAMC family!

As we come out of the Easter season and transition into the summer months, I would like to take a moment to thank each and every one of you for your prayers and support for our Youth Group. Your continued support means so much to our entire youth ministry.

I would also like to take this opportunity to introduce myself and share a little about what we have been working on. My name is Ashleigh Brandt, and as of January 2026, I have taken on the position of Youth Director at Korean American Methodist Church.

One of my first goals has been to get to know our students—learning about their interests, personalities, and hearts. Through this process, we have formed a small group of students and leaders who are helping plan both fun activities and meaningful opportunities for personal and spiritual growth.

I am so thankful for this team. They have helped me understand expectations, provided insight into the life and dynamics of our church, and offered wisdom and encouragement as I continue to grow into this role and serve our students faithfully.

This year, our focus is on the theme of “Discipleship.” With that in mind, we are working to create both engaging and intentional opportunities—helping our youth grow in their faith while also encouraging them to become more involved in the church community and beyond.

We have several exciting events coming up, and I would love to share a few with you:

In addition, we are in the process of planning several fun team-building days where students can grow closer in fellowship, explore God’s creation, and learn to work together as a team. All of these opportunities are aimed at helping cultivate and strengthen young disciples.

We humbly ask for your continued prayers for our students, especially as they move through a busy season of school and testing. Many of them are also navigating important transitions—from high school into college—which can be both exciting and stressful.

Thank you again for your faithful support. We believe that God hears every prayer, and we have already seen how He is at work, opening doors and providing meaningful opportunities for our youth.

좋은 아침입니다, 한미감리교회 가족 여러분!

이제 부활절 시즌을 지나고 여름으로 접어들었습니다. 우리 청소년부를 위해 기도와 지원을 아끼지 않으신 한미감리교회 한 분 한 분께 감사의 마음을 전하고자 서신을 올립니다. 여러분의 지속적인 관심과 후원은 우리 교회 청소년 사역에 정말 큰 힘이 되고 있습니다. 감사합니다

이 기회를 빌어 저를 소개하고, 그동안 진행해 온 사역에 대해 간단히 나누고자 합니다. 제 이름은 애슐리 브랜트이며, 2026년 1월부터 한미감리교회 청소년부: Imago Dei Chaple의 책임 간사로 섬기게 되었습니다.

제가 사역을 시작하면서 제가 가장 먼저 세운 목표 중 하나는 학생들을 알아가는 것이었습니다. 그들의 관심사, 성격, 그리고 마음을 이해하려고 노력했습니다. 이 과정을 통해 현재는 소그룹 학생들과 리더들이 함께 모여, 즐거운 활동뿐만 아니라 의미 있고 영적인 성장을 위한 다양한 계획을 세우고 있습니다.

청소년 목회팀을 꾸렸습니다. 저와 함께 팀을 이뤄 주신 분들께 진심으로 감사 드립니다. 제가 한미감리교회에 특수한 분위기와 구조에 잘 적응하도록 물심양면 도와 주시고, 저의 역할 안에서 성장하고 학생들을 성실히 섬길 수 있도록 늘 격려를 아끼지 않으십니다.

올해 우리 청소년부의 주제는 “제자도(Discipleship)”입니다. 주제에 맞춰 우리 청소년들이 믿음 안에서 성장하고 교회 공동체와 그 너머에서 더욱 적극적으로 참여할 수 있도록, 흥미롭고 의도적인 프로그램들을 준비하고 있습니다.

다가오는 주요 행사 몇 가지를 소개해 드립니다:

• 4월 18일 – 오후 4시 청소년 모임 (김기정/Leanna Kim 댁)
  “기쁨 vs 행복”이라는 주제로, 성경적 관점에서 두 개념의 차이를 함께 나눌 예정입니다.

• 5월 3일 – 베이크(Bake) 세일 & 커피 바
애리조나 단기 선교를 위한 모금 행사로, 학생들이 주도하여 진행합니다.

• 6월 4–6일 – 여름성경학교(VBS)
 청소년들이 VBS 팀과 함께 교회 어린이들을 섬길 예정입니다.

우리 교회 청소년들이 교제 안에서 더 가까워지고, 하나님의 선하신 섭리를 경험할 수 있도록 더 많은 다양한 활동들을 계획 중에 있습니다.  

다음 세대의 예수님의 제자들로 성장할 청소년부 학생들을 위해 지속적으로 기도해 주시기 부탁드립니다. 이시기에 바쁜 학업과 시험 기간을 보내고 있는 학생들이 있습니다. 그리고 특별히 대학 입시에 박차를 가하고 있는 11학년 학생들을 위해 기도해 주시기 부탁드립니다.

다시 한 번 여러분의  기도와 지원에 감사드립니다. 하나님께서는 우리의 모든 기도를 들으시며, 이미 여러 방면으로 길을 열어 주시고 귀한 기회들을 허락하심을 경험하며 찬양합니다.

하나님의 축복이 여러분 모두에게 함께하시기 바라며, 평안하고 복된 한 주 보내시길 기도합니다.
