하나님의 “KIDZ FELIZ(행복한 어린이들)”
매년 5월 첫 주일은 ‘어린이 주일’로 지켜집니다. 우리 교회는 오늘 어린이 주일을 맞아 어린이들을 축하하는 축제, ‘KIDZ FELIZ’(행복한 어린이들)을 개최합니다. 교회 마당에 울려 퍼지는 아이들의 가득한 웃음소리와 활기찬 발걸음, 그리고 그동안 모아온 SEED(달란트)로 선물을 고르며 기뻐하는 모습들,  그 자체로 하나님의 큰 축복이며 감동입니다. 이번 축제가 은혜 가운데 잘 준비되도록 함께 애써 주신 모든 분들께 깊이 감사드리며, 하나님께서 기뻐하시는 시간으로 인도해 주실 것을 믿습니다.
어린이 축제는 단순한 행사가 아닙니다. 우리 아이들에게 교회가 어떤 곳인지, 하나님이 어떤 분이신지를 직접 체험하게 하는 시간입니다. "하나님은 너를 사랑하셔. 우리 교회도 너를 진심으로 축복해." 이 축제가 아이들에게 전하고자 하는 진짜 메시지는 바로 이것입니다. 아이들은 말보다 경험을 통해 사랑을 기억합니다. 교회의 환대와 하나님의 기쁨을 체험한 아이들은 그 사랑을 마음 깊이 간직하게 될 것입니다.
예수님께서는 "어린아이들이 내게 오는 것을 용납하고 금하지 말라 하나님의 나라가 이런 사람의 것이니라"(마가복음 10:14)고 말씀하시며, 어린이를 하나님의 나라의 모범으로 세우셨습니다. 우리 교회도 주님의 그 마음을 품고, 다음 세대인 어린이들에게 복음과 사랑을 전하는 일에 더욱 힘쓰기를 소망합니다.
오늘의 어린이들은 교회의 미래가 아니라 현재입니다. 그러므로 어린이 목회는 교회 공동체 모두가 함께 감당해야 할 사명입니다. 
어린이 주일을 기점으로 여름성경학교(VBS)를 준비하게 됩니다. 올해 우리 교회 여름성경학교는 6월 19일부터 21일까지 진행될 예정입니다. 4년만에 다시 열리게 되었습니다. 여름성경학교는 어린이 목회에 가장 중요한 사역입니다. 이 또한 단순한 행사나 놀이 시간이 아니라, 아이들의 인생에 처음으로 복음이 뿌려지는 생명의 자리가 되기 때문입니다. 관심을 기울여 주시기 바랍니다.  기도로, 물질의 후원으로, 봉사로 함께해 주세요. 우리의 손자, 손녀들이 믿음의 공동체 안에서 복음의 사람으로 자라갈 수 있도록 어린이 목회에 동참 동행해 주시기 바랍니다.
이번 어린이 주일과 여름성경학교을 통해 우리 교회가 다음 세대를 향한  하나님의 부르심을 다시 기억하고, 믿음의 유산을 아름답게 이어가는 공동체가 되기를 간절히 소망합니다.

KIDZ FELIZ :  God’s Happy Children
The first Sunday of May each year is observed as “Children’s Sunday.” Today, in celebration of this occasion, our church is hosting a festival called KIDZ FELIZ (“Happy Children”) to honor our children. The courtyard is filled with the sound of children's laughter and their energetic footsteps, and their joy as they choose gifts with the SEED (talents) they’ve saved up is, in itself, a profound blessing and moving testimony of God’s grace. We extend our heartfelt gratitude to everyone who worked together to prepare this festival so graciously, and we trust that God will guide this time to be one that brings Him delight.
The children’s festival is not merely an event—it is a meaningful opportunity for our children to experience firsthand what the church is and who God is.
“God loves you. Our church truly blesses you.”
This is the true message the festival seeks to convey Children remember love more through experiences than through words. When they encounter the warmth of the church and the joy of God, they will carry that love deep within their hearts.
Jesus said, “Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of God belongs to such as these” (Mark 10:14), lifting children up as models of the Kingdom of God.
In the same spirit, our church longs to carry the heart of the Lord—devoting ourselves ever more earnestly to sharing the Gospel and God's love with the next generation.
Today’s children are not merely the future of the church—they are its present.
Therefore, children’s ministry is a sacred calling that the entire church community must embrace together.
With Children's Sunday as our starting point, we now begin preparations for this year's VBS, which will take place from June 19 to 21. After a four-year pause, we are joyfully bringing VBS back to our church.
VBS is one of the most vital ministries in children's ministry—not simply an event or a time of play, but a sacred space where, for many children, the seed of the Gospel is sown into their lives for the very first time.
We ask for your heartfelt attention and support. Please join us through your prayers, financial contributions, and hands-on service. Let us walk together in this ministry so that our sons and daughters, grandsons and granddaughters may grow up as people of the Gospel, nurtured within a faithful and loving community.
Through this Children's Sunday and the upcoming VBS, we earnestly hope that our church will once again remember God’s calling toward the next generation—and become a community that faithfully carries on the beautiful legacy of faith.
