“귀한 손길들”
2주동안 교회에서는 마스크 만들기 운동이 있었습니다.세상이 어려울때 교회의 역할이 무엇일지, 고민하던 가운데 면 마스크를 만들어서 필요하신 분들께 나누는 것도 조금이나마 위안과 도움이 될거라는 생각에, 조심스럽게 선교부장님께 부탁을 드렸습니다.

선교부장님을 중심으로 해서 교회에서 재단을 만드시는 집사님들 권사님들이 소집되셨습니다. 너나 할것 없이 기쁘게 동참하시는 모습들 이셨습니다.이를 통해 마스크가 제 모습을 갖춰가게 되었습니다. 

박음질은 교회에 세탁소 하시는 집사님들, 손 재주가 휼륭하신 집사님들 권사님들께 부탁드렸습니다.역시나 기쁨으로 감사함으로 감당해주심에 제대로된 마스크가 탄생하게 되었습니다. 이러한 모습들을 보시고 또한,소식으로 접하신 분들이 수고하신다고 음식과 간식 등으로 서포트 해주셨습니다. 그리하여 완성된 약 800개의 마스크가 필요하신 교인가정,교인 비지니스 하시는 곳, 경찰서,소방서,콜로라도스프링스의 한인 식당들과 한인마켓들에 배부되었습니다.

기쁨과 감사로 함께 시간과 물질로 헌신한 결과가 우리 교회 뿐 아니라 콜로라스 스프링스 땅의 Community에도 예수님의 사랑을 전하게 된 모습이었습니다. 누구 하나의 노력이 아니라 교회 공동체의 노력의 결과였고 무엇보다 하나님께서 기쁘게 생각하셨으리라 믿습니다.세상이 어려울 때마다 교회가 교회의 역할을 감당하는 일들이 많이 일어났으면 좋겠습니다. 참,마스크 아직 못받으신 분들 목회실로 알려주시기 바랍니다. 써보니 참 편하고 튼튼합니다!주님의 보호하심과 인도하심이 충만하시기를 기도합니다!

"Precious Hands"
There was a mask making movement in the church for the past two weeks. 
With all the chaos in the world today, I carefully thought about the role of the church would be and how we can provide comforts and help to share with those who are in need by providing handmade cotton mask. I have asked Deacons and the Mission Team from the church if they are able to help out in this project and instantly they were happy to help without any hesitation and that is how it all began with mask project. Mission Team also have asked the congregation if anyone can help out with preparation and help to sew with the machine and anyone with great talents to help out as well. After all, with joyful hearts with dedication of their time and giving thanks, the mask was made. After seeing these amazing work put together, people who have heard the news through communications, the congregation have come through and supported us by providing with food and snacks. About 800 masks were completed, which were distributed to church congregation, homes, church businesses, police stations, fire departments, and Korean restaurants and Korean markets in Colorado Springs. The dedication of our time with joy and thanksgiving was to show the love of Jesus and not only in our church, but also in our community of Colorado Springs. 

I believe that it was not the effort of an individuals, but the efforts of our church and our community. Above all, God was pleased. Whenever the world is in difficult situation, I hope we are able to offer and provide more for the church and for our community. By the way if you have not gotten the mask yet please request through Pastor Lee. It is very comfortable and durable to use! May God’s peace and comfort be always with you!
