How To Trust-Trust God

Trust and promises go together.
We can only learn how to trust when we know who can fulfill the promises that they make.

We can only learn how to trust when we realize that only God can always fulfill His promises.

We may desire to trust others because their promises sound so good, but there is

no guarantee that they can fulfill their promises.

Only God can fulfill all of His promises.

When it comes down to it, trust is all about the likelihood that a person can

fulfill their promises.

Trust should not be based on whose promises that you like best or who has

the best intentions to fulfill their promises, but who has the ability and the intention

to fulfill their promises.

With this in mind, it is easy to see that we should trust God more than

we should trust anyone else.

The Bible warns us to trust God first. When things are going good, it is easy to sin

and not to rely on God. We start trusting solely in our own abilities and material goods.

Even when things are not going right, we are tempted to cheat, steal, lie, and bully to

achieve what we think we deserve versus trusting in God. God’s Word is to be trusted,

not despised. The Bible is the inspired Word of God. God provided the Bible to mankind

as an instruction book to learn about Him, discover His promises, and help us to grow

closer to Him. Without God’s Word (His truth, goodness, love, and righteousness),

mankind is like a brute beast trusting in oppression and carnal passions.
